Does anyone know how to make the volume pedal activate the tuner when raised?
Yes, that's how I toggle Tuner on and off and have used an Assign trick I learned from this forum on my GT-10 and GT-100.
First, calibrate your expression pedal with a light press at the bottom of the range.
Next, create an Assign for yourself that uses:
- Source of EXP PEDAL
- Source Mode of TOGGLE
- Target of TUNER SW
- ACT RANGE LO of 0 (zero), ACT RANGE HI of maybe 3
- don't forget to turn the Assign "On"
Fiddle with the ACT RANGE HI value until a press down on the heel of the EXP PEDAL toggles the Tuner on and off.

Why would you want to do this? You already have a pedal combo that gets you the tuner...
On the 8 I tried the volume pedal <-> tuner thing but quickly gave it up as it always messed up volume swells. The sound always got cut off and never sounded natural. So cool idea but not really a good solution for me. @gtplayer, @RustyFlacon, different experience for you?

as a thought...and not to sidetrack... but it would also seem you could use the S/R, without returning...and just send a signal to an external pedal...like the TU3 (or TU2 in my case) and have the tuner always on. Put the volume control of the patch afterwards with the expression (or external expression), and mute the sound with that when tuning. Those tuners are better than what comes with the GT100 imo anyway...even though they both probably came from the same womb.
Hi All,
In one of my patches (GT-10) I have the tuner engage when volume pedal is at heel position. This works very well. However, the Tuner also come on (at heel position) when I switch over to Wah. How can I disable the Tuner when the Wah is engaged?
Cheers, Ray.
PEACE
@zematynnad: Mine works ok. I think it has to do with how to set the calibration of the volume pedal. You want to setup calibration so it takes a relatively firm down push on the heel to toggle the Tuner. Otherwise yes you will get the Tuner coming on during volume swells at the minimum setting.
@rayton: LOL... I had the same issue... my answer was to buy an external WAH pedal. If you want to use the expression pedal as wah - what about a second Assign to toggle on/off the Assign that you are using to toggle the Tuner ? Set that second Assign to turn off the 'tuner Assign' when the Wah comes on, and turn it on when the Wah comes off ?

Stick on a rubber block under the heel of the EXP Pedal, so to "toggle" the tuner on you need a bit of pressure on the pedal.
It won't come on accidentally then.

I'm curious what people don't like about the default (1/2 pedals)? I've considered changing it to the patch pedal (as I did with the GT-10) because it is slightly easier, but haven't actually done that.
