Ahhh that makes more senseBut for a little while I actually thought that someone had conjured some voodoo mod to make it sound more tube like
I actually got a little excited

I was indeed referring to modding the guitar - replacing the tone knob with the GK mode switch and the jack plate to fit the right cable. I would also have to drill two holes to secure the hex pickup, which would damage the paintwork. If I ever decided to sell the guitar later on, it wouldn't sell if the potential buyer had no intention of using this guitar with a Roland guitar synth.

gummy: "The GT-100 and the GR-55 go very well together, just like they were made for each other"
how exactly can they work together??? it seems like an impossible match/setup to arrange with out basically 2 separate systems..???
He's referring to the fact the GR-55 has a "guitar out" which acts as a dry signal leaving the GR-55 to enter the GT-100. By running both units' main outs into a mixer or two amps, you can essentially play two entirely different sounds simultaneously.

Putting it straight into my Roland DAW didn't do it much justice, so I'm gonna put it through my Randall RT50C combo amp on monday.

I shouldn't have called the VS2400 a DAW. Its a "portastudio".
2 gripes already:
A) Re-amping via USB only. Still need a DI or similar device for taking a feed from my VS2400 to the GT-100
B) You have to stomp both bank pedals to access the tuner. WTF?
