Thread: BOSS GT 6B tone changing issues

  1. Default BOSS GT 6B tone changing issues

I have in my possession the Boss GT6B and the newer GT10B....my issue is I like the tones I am getting on some of the user patches from the GT6B more.I have tweaked the tone that I like.I am in a hard rock classic tone approach and dialed in and banked a nice warm low end tone like the SVT setting. The problem starts when I engage the wah pedal with the patch i have created. The minute I step on the wah pedal-the tone completely changes-becomnes thin and brashy low end lost.
The wah' settings offered are good -but I like thw"WAHWAH" sounding effect.Of all of the Wah selections the GT6B has to offer the(bass wah)setting works the best and closest for what i am looking for. Clicking the Wah pedal on and writing the patch setting still does not make any difference. The low-end still gets cancelled out.The custom (1-2-3) wah peramiters stil all have the same issue with loss of tone.Does anyone have any suggestions of not losing the tone setting created when the Wah setting is engaged and blended with the a custom setting?

The GT-6B does not have much in the way of features compared to the GT-10B, the GT-10B wah has "Direct mix" control to mix in some of the bass tone, which the GT-6B does not have.
I would look at try to use the GT-10B more, and learning to master it, it has about 4 times more features.
