Thread: Boss pedals not available in GT-10?

  1. Default Boss pedals not available in GT-10?

So far, I've found the GT-10 doesn't have an ML-2 Metal Core sim, so I've ordered the real pedal. Are there any other Boss pedals not simulated by the GT-10 that I should try out?

All of them would be the correct answer I think, though NS-1 and 2 might conceivably be called "sims" of the NS-1 though I think they just perform those functions. The GT-10 isn't really a Boss pedal simulator rather an amp and effects modeler. As you scroll through various menus you're not going to see a list of Boss pedals there for you to grab and emulate. As you work through the various preamps (check out those categories especially so you don't miss anything!) and the various delays, choruses and the neat stuff under F/X-1 and F/X-2, you're going to find that pretty much all of the Boss pedals capabilities are represented in some fashion but as far as I know they are not being presented as direct sims of Boss pedals. There's metal stuff in there too though most people would say it's lacking. -Rod-

In the OD/DS section, the OD-1 is called out by name. Additionally, the user guide also makes the following assertions:

    Blues OD = BD-2
    Turbo OD = OD-2
    Metal Zone = MT-2

The other distortions are described more or less generically, or are listed as being approximations of pedals by other manufacturers.
