Do you have a GT-6B? if so, you need GT-6BFxFloorBoard...

I hooked everything up, followed instructions, I am still not sure I am connected. How can I tell?, I just want to do realtime editing, either load a patch or make my own and then "save it" and see it saved on screen abd my Box
Thanks
Which version of the software are you using, does it match the GT pedal you have?
I will assume you are using a GT-6B, since this is the 6B page, and you have stated in the thread title "Problems with Connecting using GT-profxfloarboard"
which is the version for the GT-Pro, and will not work with the GT-6B, you will need to download and install the GT-6B version "GT-6BFxFloorBoard".
Then the midi device will need to be selected from the GT-6BFxFloorBoard menu TOOLS > PREFERENCES > MIDI your midi device input & output ports are selected here.
If the midi is plugged and working correctly, realtime editing should be possible. To aquire data from the GT-6B, both the GT-6B and the GT-6BFxFloorboard software need to be set to "Bulk Mode", as the GT models 3,5,6,and 6B can only work in a simplex mode, where you can either aquire data from the GT-6B (Bulk Mode), or send data to the GT-6B from the software in realtime (play mode). The GT models upward from those operate in full duplex, and don't need to do Mode swapping.

I might need to try another midi cable, I get nothing
Do you know of a thread that has patches that i can just read what settings to type in?, We are a cover band and I'm trying to get a decent Distortion out of this Box (muse-Uprising)song
Thanks
I don't know of any patch settings which have been listed out, but if you open a patch file in GT-6BFxFloorBoard and from the TOOLS menu select "Patch Text Summary" it will show you all the settings used in that patch.
No luck on your midi setup?
what type of midi device are you using, because there are some known types which don't work, typically the cheap USB chinese ones either with a blue case or a musical clef printed on the side.
I would like to help, but i need info first on your setup, and the type of GT unit you have, as in my questions above..
It seems like you are using the wrong version of FxFloorBoard in the title of the topic.
