Thread: Audiophile 2496 Cakewalk Issues

  1. Default Audiophile 2496 Cakewalk Issues

Is anybody really familiar with the Audiophile 2496 sound card? I am using Guitar Tracks (Cakewalk) to record and I have a problem that is driving me crazy. When I record using the SPDIF input, the sound is fantastic. However, when I try to export the file to a wav through guitar tracks, I either get no audio on the new file or I get a super speed higher pitched version of my playing. I currently have the audiophile properties set to S/PDIF master clock when recording (and monitor mix for output) and after I record, if I try to play it back when changing the audiophile properties away from the SPDIF master clock the high pitched super speed persists. So basically, I can only hear myself correctly after recording when using the SPDIF master clock. I tried changing every setting in Cakewalk audio properties but I can't fix it.

    Anybody have any ideas?

this aceleration is because youre recording in 48000 96000, or any other sample rate allowed by your soft... (checkit changing the sample rate in the delta control panel... and then playing the song) the GT6 clock works in 44100... if you use any other setting than 44100 khz, when you go back at the control panel and change external to internal clock, you just ask for a nightmare... i have the same problm ebcause i rec in 48000 in adobe audition.
i fix it converting the sample rate in the adobe audition... i dont know if guitar tracks allow to do this...
spanish allowed. Setup: Ibanez RGT3120 - Les Paul guitars. GT-8, Custom made stereo amp. PC based digital studio with M-audio Delta sound card. Little knowledge of: Audition, SoundForgue, Live, GuitaPro...
