If they had a delaer in Europe and I had the possibility to try it for myself, maybe I would think about selling the gt-pro, the eventide eclipse, the Harmonic Converger and the mesa triaxis... and carry just a small 2 Unit rack bag.

The clips are pretty impressive. Way out of my league though...

    I've found another one:

Cliff, the engenieer from Fractalaudio, is answering many question at http://www.hugeracksinc.com forums, and it seems that he's listening to the sugestions from the users for the new firmware upgrades. Not exactly the Boss/Roland attitude

I listened to more of the clips on their web site. All I can say is that that's some serious ammo in the digital vs analogue vs tube snob battle. :!:

That box looks really cool but I've given up on trying to have one box that can do it all. If I was gigging and had to carry a rig around, I would have a different perspective I'm sure. Regardless, I would still want a real live tube preamp and that's not being a snob, it's just what I prefer the feel of.

what's the price point here though?? I did a bit of scanning and couldn't find one .... based on what they (the manufacturer) says, should be top notch. Makes me wonder if guitar center is gonna have 'em ...

It's OK that they're out of stock, since there is no way I could afford it .

Well, maybe the GT's 10 years from now will be like that. (gt-20??)

Maybe Boss/Roland will not improve the quality of the digital FX, since that would increase the price, but they have to seriously review the COSM modellers. They still have a lot to improve there: not only increasing the number of amplifiers and speakers but being more realistic with the simulations. They also have to separate the amplifier and speaker simulation section, so we can place FX in between the preamp and the speaker.

That soundclips are very similar to what I can achieve with the combination of the Triaxis (preamp) + GT-Pro (speaker simulaiton) + Eclipse (FX) + HC (a must), with two bonus for the Axe-FX:

1.- It cost a fraction of all that gear
2.- The modellers are better in quality and quantity

    Wake up Boss!

The future is in the high quality direct-recording/PA gear!

Well, that's why I said 10 years from know .... hopefully in that ammount of time the chips (processors and what not) will have gotten that much cheaper.
