Delay sounds when switching patches

So I want the delay to continue after changing patches and I know that this can be done as the quick start tells me so "you can use the assign functions to accomplish this"



Have now read through the assign section of the manual a few times and I am no nearer to actually working out how to do this :(

All I want is for the delay feedback to continue after I switch patches - anyoine point me in the right direction??

would appreicate any help
