Well the GT Pro is now out of production But its still in service in my rig and many others and will remain so for quite some time I certainly have no plans to change it does everything I want and more Ive learned a lot about the unit in the 2 years I have owned it, still learning new things it forms part of my fairly complex rig, which means I have found most of the answers to problems people encounter using midi foot controllers and getting rack units to sit happily together. So I have created this group for GT Pro Users to share and exchange information
The industry seems more interested in producing floor units. Nothing against them, but some prefer their units off the floor. Any idea how long Roland/Boss will offer service? (not that I'm expecting the unit to fail).
Hi, i really like the GT-PRO and have had for a number of years now. Do you know how to change the back-up batteries? What type and how many? Thanks Bboy
the GT Pro is no longer in production sadly and no news of a replacement rack unit model so it looks like thats the end of the Boss rack unit models until the trend shifts back to rack mount units again With regard to service thats one thing Roland boss have always been extremely good with and they will supply replacement parts for quite some time after a unit has gone out of production so I wouldn;t be overly worried on that score. Plus the units are extremely reliable anyway
re back up batteries I believe it is a single batery will try and is eay enough to change once you open up the case. Not sure of the type though and dont really want to pull my GT out of the rack as I have a fairly complex set up
