"sometimes" as in how often? i hope the one i ordered will work properly....

I got mine and it had the same "dead zone" problem you described.... had to raise it about half way until whatever parameter assigned to it started changing, + there was another "dead zone" at the top. I took it apart, and adjusted the position & angle of the potentiometer, and it's a lot better now. At least it uses about 80% of the pedal's range instead of 35% or so =)

What i'd really like is to be able to calibrate it like i did the one on my gt-3. I adjusted it so that pulling the pedal completely back leaves the value at 1%, then pushing a little harder on the heel goes to 0%... i'll probably have to change the pot in the ev-5 for that.
