BTW, do you know about Edernity and Petracci? I don't hear from them for a while.

Hey folks, I'm still around 8)

I do read some of the posts these days, but life has been very busy with other things than music. And I feel that I've reached a point with the GT where I'm fairly pleased with my current set of sounds, at least for live usage. Or is that just an excuse I came up with to make things easier for myself :D

I hope to have some more time for playing guitar and experimenting with the GT later this year. I've heard some of Watsonic's sounds that I would like to play around with.

BTW, did any of you Pro guys (and girls) tried some of the sounds I use for my rock cover band? There'still available at http://homepages.ipact.nl/~omar/

Anyhow, thanx for asking, I'll hope to post again in the coming time.

Greetings,

Petracci

It's nice to hear from you! :D

I'm also going away and closer to the forum depending on my mood and free time.

Now I've got so many knobs to tweak (Eventide Eclipse, Axon AX100MK-II, Clavia Nord Modular G2 Engine synth, and so many VST FX's & Instrument plugins) that I'm not experimenting much with the GT. One of this days I' should consider a "spiritual retirment" to help myself to concentrate only in the music, not in technology :?

Regards,

Manuel

Hello everyone.

I am still around here quite often but don't post much. I have been busy with work, home projects, and the 1st year with our baby. Everythings been going great but just eating up too much of my guitar time. I'm sure most of you all know how that goes.

My Pro has the Nane buttom also.

On the first GT-8's the spelling of "Preset" was wrong and was corrected by an update. Mine came with ver. 1.02 so I never saw this. I upgraded to ver. 1.03 for no particular reason (nothing was wrong with my unit) other than to have the latest vesion.

I kind of wish that they had misspelled the name button on some of the earlier 8's, it certainly dates them on the Pro and I believe they will become more collectable because of it.
All of the adversiements for the Pro that I've seen lately have it spelled correctly.

Still waiting for a firmware update for the pro.... i really wish they'd add BPM timing (note values) to internal/wave pedal rate, and "input level" to internal pedal TRIGGER.

Does the gt-8 have any of these?

According to the manual regarding assigns of the internal pedals it doesn't seem so, but there should be some way to accomplish the same thing.

On page 59 of the manual it shows that Master BPM (TAP) can be assigned as a target in which case you should be able to control it with any pedal (ext or internal exp ctrl ect.) that you wish. I would've thought that the GT-Pro would be identical.
