I connect a midi cable from my laptop to my GT-6 and use a software application called GT-Manager (by Partheus Software) to edit, manage, and transfer patches to and from my GT-6. I built my pedalboard to accommodate this which makes the process even simpler. The midi cable is always plugged into my GT-6 and the other end is strategically accessible so all I have to do is connect my laptop and go.
