Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me!
I took the plunge and went from a GT6 with a TSL100 head to a GT-Pro, an FC200, a Marshall JMP-1 and a Marshall 9200 poweramp. I have them currently connected like this...
Guitar --> GT-Pro
GT-Pro Loop 1 send --> JMP-1 main input
JMP-1 stereo output --> GT-Pro Loop 1 & 2 return
GT-Pro main out --> 9200
The JMP-1 is in the main loop and not the pre loop so that I can use the wah effectively.
I must admit that for 90% of the stuff I do it seems to work as well, if not better than the GT-6. However...
When I swap some patches there is an audible "gap". I've tried using the smooth function but it doesn't seem to help a lot. It's especially noticable when I'm swapping between harmonist patches (lets say that a song needs 3 harmonist patches for 3 different keys)... I get gaps in sound when I swap patches. More so than on the GT-6. I've tried removing the loop, and all the other effects but it still seems to happen.
Also, one more question...
I'm using the above "4CM" based method so that I can get the wah infront of my Marshall JMP-1. I haven't been able to figure out a way of wiring it so that I have a choice of Marshall JMP-1 in stereo, GT-Pro preamp in stereo OR Both, one through each channel. I can get the first two, but not the third option. Is this possible or beyond all reach? Most of all, I'd ideally like to keep my wah infront of all my preamps! (both real and virtual).
Can anyone help? Mainly with the first problem, but with either would be a help!!!
Cheers,
Paul
P.S. For all the talk earlier in this forum about screen colour on the GT-Pro... mine's blue, and it's lovely in comparison to the Dayglo GT-6!
