I found this site three days ago at work, and I am jacked about the possibility of actually learning how to get more than 2% via blind ass luck from my GT 5. I bought my GT 5 brand spankin in 1997 (I think) because the people I talked with said it was THE unit to buy, and I knew Boss sounds were sweet to my ears. Shortly after tweaking a few nice patches into existence, I entered an eight year period where I played my acoustic only and rarely at that. Now that I am back with my HH-555, DC-5, and my GT-5, I really want to figure out how to best utilize the unit to get close to some 70's Bob Weir sounds tweaked to fit my playing style and personality. I am going to take a good bit of time reading everyones' posts prior to bombarding everyone with set-up questions and trying some tips that are on here, but I just wanted to say thanks to whoever got this site to where it is and to all of you out there who will give input in helping me figure out the best way to use this machine.
