I totally don't regret it getting this at all. I asked a few guys about getting a GT-PRO and I got bashed saying how I shouldn't get a rack unit if I don't know anything about it (I did research, but I needed the real thing!). Many also bitched about how multieffects processors are pathetic and that you get more "true tone" with single effects pedals...

I don't know what they're saying, but my amp sounds amazing! The synth sounds are sweet...but I still have to play around with them to eventually find some good use for it. Did anyone ever used the synth in a recording that they might be able to upload?

Installing the drivers was a bit tricky and I had to do it a few times...but I eventually got it and now I am controlling the unit with my mouse while it's hooked onto my amp. I still don't really know how to save my own "presets" and upload it into the unit. I really fear deleting the factory settings since I love all of the sounds I'm hearing.

4 hours has passed!~

It's so great not to go through the hassle of hooking up all those single effects pedals. I've been playing the unit by hooking up my headphones....Sennheisers HD555 and the stereo is awesome.

just curious; when did this unit come out? Because I just saw a review on harmony central's site that was dated January 20 2006 or something.

Nice shots. Save your own presets and write over the factory ones. If you go to the "Preset" patches, you will find they are the same as the "User" patches. So you will always have a set of the factory presets that you can't write over.

The GT-Pro was announced at Winter NAMM 2005, and I think it came out in Summer of 05

What is your current set up?
