I have been working on an Editor for the GT6B.
it is still a work in progress, but you can download it at
Yahoo 'gt6b' user groups. i would upload it here but there
doen,t seem to be any support for that here.
I would like for someone to try it out and let me know if
i am not wasting my time.

It sometimes seems strange that not only do we want to play the bass,
but also want to use effects as well.
I have been wondering what inspired me to do so?
I think it was something to do with pink floyd- one of these days,
and also the old War of the worlds- CD1 track 2 & track 3 intros.[/b]

that would be great! gt6-b would be much easier to work with that way!

Anyone know what kind of devices allow you to connect the gt6b to the pc?

I use an M-Audio udiophile 24/96 PCI card, it has MIDI in/out and coax digital in/out.
You can use it for the GT-6B editor and also for direct recording.

I was reading about this MIDI (IN/OUT) to USB cable...

http://www.musicstorekoeln.de/en/global/0_0_G_0_PCM0004735-000/0/0/0/detail/musicstore.html

Would that work?
I already have a good enough soundcard and if that works, and if I could record directly using that cable and my existing soundcard, that would be great.

I think you are confusing the midi in/out ports and audio in/out ports, these are 2 totally different things.
the midi in/out ports are for sending and recieving memory & controller data from the GT6B, so you can backup ustom designed patches to your computor or share them with other GT6B owners. with the midi ports you can also use editor software to custom build patches easily using the graphical layout of a computor screen. midi ports are in no way associated with audio.
the midi to USB adapter would do the job for this....

I know you can send data through them... I figured you'd also be able to record through them...
