Hi , how could I set a CTL button to change betwen the two channels of an amp, or switch the solo function on-off with the FCB1010?

I would like to use a FCB1010 button exclusively for each function.

Thanks !!!.

Hi;

You need to set the switch function....(switching jacks) Are you using the editor software to program the FCB1010? The only way I know how to program my FCB1010 is by using the free software... I found that programming directly on the unit was way to difficult when I first got mine so I got the free software... if you have that, it's very easy to do anything you want.

Thank you very much Glennfin, I'll try to do that way.

Well the good thing about this box is that you don't need to use the control button- you can easily do this with CCs and not use the extra cable going to the GT. This is what is so great about the FCB. In fact, with the unofficial firmware, you can do change channels as well as set up a boost with 1 button press.

I unfortunately have the v1.1 firmware.. really old version, doesn't even support the editor.. But even with that version you can simulate a CTL switch, check the 'Tap Tempo' thread for a post by Fubbe on how to set it up! I use it for the Hold delay, as the Rec/Dub button.

you should definately upgrade...the old firmware had lots of bugs, and was very frustrating, as it didn't work like it was described.

Yes, I'd like the new unofficial one, but I have no idea how to replace the chip. It's all covered in glue (or whatever that transparent stuff is called, I vaguely recall there being a different name for it)

Because sometimes, when I play with note-send, the whole pedal changes (it adds 10 or 20 to all patch changes :? )

You can remove the glue by carefully lifting the glue from the chip bit by bit. I used a small flat screwdriver to do it. No problem.

Thanks! And after that, you can just plug the chip in, with no further glueing or screwing? Because then I might just have to do it, the modded firmware seems too interesting to pass up on!

Yep,

Once you have inserted the new chip (it's a little bit tricky), it takes a friggin' earthquake with magnitude 100 to let it pop out. I have no idea why it was glued in the first place. You carefully have to bend the pins of the chip a little before you can insert it into its socked.
