I have a fcb1010 to control the pro. I use the top row of footswitches for effects switching, and the bottom row for changing patches. This works...almost. What I would like (and have not yet accomplished) is:
a: When I switch between patches, the effects are loaded according to the saved patch, ignoring the effects switched on/off in the previous patch. (like ASSIGN HOLD = Off)
and b: When I switch between patches, the path volume and BPM will keep the same values as in the previous patch, ignoring the saved state in the new selected patch (like ASSIGN HOLD = ON).

Is this possible in one way or the other? The alternative might be buying an expression pedal, but then: Will the new selected patch immedeatly have the volume according the expression pedal when ASSIGN HOLD is off?

due to time, just a short answer concerning my approach...

For each of my patches, I have one FX/combination of FXs that I can switch on/off with the 1010. I always use a certain CC number for that, both in the 1010 and in the Assigns of each patch. Therefore, when selecting patches on the 1010, besides program change and expression pedal settings, I also program that CC number such that the FX combi is switched of as a default.

I think you can extend this approach to multiple FXs, but you will need a lot of assigns per patch, one for each of the FX you want to switch on/off. On the other hand, those assings will be the same for all your patches.

Hope this helps...

AHA! 8O That's one clever solution. But that means a lot of editing for all the assigns in all the patches in my case. I'll gonna mis a lot of sleep tonight. Thx...for the answer, that is...
