Sorry for the crossposting, was wondering if anyone in this forum had any ideas..

I am setting up a dedicated tap tempo button on the FCB.
I have a button on my FCB1010 set up to not send a PC message, just
2 CC messages on #81...first message is a value of 0, 2nd is a value
of 127...The way I have it working right now- if I wasnt a delay
time of, say 400ms, I must tap 200ms increments-very fast!! The GT-
Pro seems to have the assignments right.
I have the GT-Pro set to normal instead of toggle. Lower value is
set to 0, higher 127.
I tried this with both CC values 0 or both 127 (on the FCB)...it
doesn't work at all. I have tried just 1 CC message, either 0 or
127, no luck. Neither of these options produce any result at all.

I know some of you are on the FCB list- has anyone set up tap tempo
on the FCB1010? My firmware is updated, and I pretty much know this
pedal inside and out.

I gotta say, after awhile working on this I am stumped. In any delay
mode- I want to use 'single'- , I am getting the same problem with
the delay times. I am monitoring through the digital output, in
stereo. The trick to testing this is that you need to be looking at
the delay time screen on the GT-Pro...you can see the time change as
you tap in the tempo, but it is always double what I tap.

It first seemed to me, that the GT-Pro was getting a value of 0
first, then 127, and it would only react to 127.
I tried just 1 CC, set to 127- doesn't work.
Both CCs set to 127 doesn't work either.
I *can* get the delay time to register correctly if I use a
momentary pedal (control 1), but I am using that pedal for something
else right now. It also works correctly if I tap using the front panel of the GT-Pro.

So, anyone abole to control tap tempo through midi?

Hi
I use the gt-pro and the FCB1010, too. You're right - it is a fight to set up everything correctly. Both of the manuals are almost useless!

But the Tap-Tempo is actually working for me.
But I can't remember the settings exactly.
I don't want to post something wrong so I'm going to post the settings of the 2 units later!

ok you should try this:
set the FCB to send the value 127 on #81 and the value 0 on #82 (i.e.).

then you'll have to do the assign at the gt-pro:
target: Master BPM(Tap)
target min: off
target max: on
source: MIDI CC#81
source mode: normal
source act. range low: 0
source act. range high: 127

the second assign is the same with the other cc#!

please report if it is (not) working.

thank you Fubb.
I does work- I think the main problem is, you can't initate a tap tempo unless BPM is enabled- I didn't realize this needed to be the setting on the delay time. I was starting with a 400ms delay time, and trying to further tap new tempos, which obviously didn't go as planned.
I knew I could use Master BPM to set tempos with my sequencer, I just couldn't find anywhere in the manual that said you needed that set for tap tempo. Thanks again for your help!
