Can any of you post a link to a review of the GT Pro.

Google results in 6 pages of dealer adds, plus the 3 sentence NAMM link.

Well, I realize it's not the same, but you can get a pretty good sense of the Pro just by looking for reviews of the 8 and factoring in the impressions you get right here in the Pro forum (or similar resources).

Yep, that's what I did. It's plenty of GT-8 reviews at http://www.harmony-central.com/Effects/Data/Boss/

I've read the 2 reviews about the GT-Pro at Harmony Central, and I think people give a 10 too easily. Every feature of a multi FX processor should be reviewed and scored separately, and then the total score will probably be less than 10.

I would agree to give a 10 to the GT-Pro simulations, the preamp, or some specific features. But how can you give a 10 to the GT-Pro reverb, delay or harmonizer when you have already heard an Eventide?. I own the old H3000-D/SE and I still haven't heard that special cristaline clear sound in other gear. There's something magic in there.

On the other side, you can not give a 10 to the best Eventide or TC-Electronic, since their preamps are like a fart compared to Boss.

There's another review that gives a 9 to the GT-Pre because it does not have a tube inside. Ok, if you compare it with the Marshall JMP-1, I may say that the GT is superior because it does not only perfectly simulates the tube sound, it's also less noisy than the JMP-1! :)

So, don't trust 100% of the reviews that don't analise every feature separately, with detailed descriptions and comparison. You should choose depending on the features that you're searching for, because there's still no processor that joins the best of everything in one single box.
