Hey guys, I have this question;

I have my amp in the effects loop of thwe GT PRO through the 4 cable method. The results are great by the way (with a Hughes and Kettner special anniversary edition tube amp and a BBE sonic maximizer)

The only drawback is that I have to turn on the FX loop ½ in each of the patches seperately, put them in the right place of the FX chain and save the patch. If I want to do this for all patches it will take me a day to complete this!

Is there any way tot “master” change the fx chain or something? And to turn on FX loop ½ for all patches simultaneously?

I hope there is a solution, otherwise I have a big day ahead of me.

Thanks anyway!

Ruben

Sorry, but I don't think there's any magic answer; however, you might ask this over in the 8 forum since your question isn't Pro-specific and there's a wider, more experienced community over there.

I think the designers dropped the ball on this one; I think it would've been better for Loop to work exactly like Preamp -- for preamp, you can specify it per-patch (the most common usage) or you can make it "global", so that all patches are using the exact same settings. And, just like preamp, they shoulda allowed you to position things in the fx chain on a per-patch basis.

So, unless I've overlooked something, you'll just have to get every patch configured correctly. The question is whether that's the worst-case manual task or whether there's a way to short-circuit the work required. Only thoughts I have there are 1) maybe p.21 offers a clue and 2) maybe the editor will help you cut & paste things quickly.

There is no master change that I know of yet. But you could use (QUICK FX)
see page #21 of manual (as aeriel pointed out)

Use one of your patches that you have set up the way you want & save it as a user quick setting. Pull that up in each patch & save.
