GT-6 Battery Trouble

[/b]I've had my GT-6 for about a year and suddenly I would plug it in and there seemed to be no power. I spoke to a few people at my guitar store about this and they said the GT-6 also has a separate battery that probably needed to be replaced. Has anyone else had a problem like this and if so, were you able to fix it?

Run a search on the forum for battery replacement. A few others have experienced it.

Not that i own any of the GT´s yet at least,but i am a service engineer.

It seems to me that the GT should be able to start without the battery since it is only used to backup the memory in the GT´s when power is off.

It may be some kind of failure of the power supply or probably many other reasons why it wont start.
