I picked up my GT-8 from my local music store and they cut me a deal after some crude negotiations.

My price was $370.00

My local music store only had one GT-8 in stock and their not sure when they will get more in but everyone can use this price as a "Target Price" when your obtaining your quotes. It is possible for the music store to go that low and still make $$$$$$$$$$$

FYI, my day job is a purchasing dir. so it's my nature to price shop and beat up vendors.

At Sam Ash, employee price is 6% over cost, I got a friend of mine that works there (I used to work there, I'm now at GC) to get mine for me (Sam Ash got them in before GC) it was exactly $400 and some change after tax. Typically retail stores don't reduce the price of Boss gear. Boss sponsors NO-ONE, all thier "artists" do not get shit from Boss for free. Boss doesn't really mark thier gear up a whole hell of a lot compared to most American manufacturers, I don't think anyway. They probably make like 50% off the buyer after materials and like 20% after added costs (shipping, paying employees, etc.).

69strat: I got mine thru an employee discount. The lowest most stores would negotiate to is prolly like $400 before tax.

Taxes are incredibly high in here and the music stores are selling these products for higher prices! When u went to a store and ask the price... you say, ohh shit what are u doing, what is that f*ckin price?

my friend bought my gt-8 from usa and he paid 440$ than sent it to me by cargo, this is the best way for me! i like him, he sent me a PGM301 too...

I did ok payed £269UK, although this was in a boundle with my new wolfgang so i may have been stitched up there :oops:

We tend to get screwed for imports in the UK, cars, PC's DVD's u name it we overpay!!
