Hi, all!

Is it me or are there no downloads for the GT 6B on this site? I go to the downloads section and I don't see anything!

I am looking for a great enveloppe filter sound. I was wondering if anybody has one?

Thanks! John

So, do any of you know where we can download other patches? Especially cool enveloppe filters?

It is nice to see some more bassists here!

Add one more bass player to the fray :)

Are there any other support forums that are actually alive and active? This place seems dead :)

:)

And another one !

you're right this place seems a bit dead.
you could try

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bossgt6b/

or

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/gt-6b/

I'm still trying to level the patches for volume.
Also when going directly into my Ashdown, I'm getting some distortion that I don't hear on headphones.
That's with the ABM's vu hardly moving :o

I'm a guitar player and I'm just entering the lower end of toneality now! I love the GT-6B. I have an Alembic Series I and it really brings out the colors. I've only been playing with it for about an hour and I can see a lot of great applications. I also have the GT-6 for my guitar set up and that thing is unbelievable too. The one thing I noticed as far as distortion is you have to watch the preamp. I'm finding that turning it off on many of the patches actually makes them sound better. I really didn't buy the GT-6B for the amp and cabinet modeling but more for the effects. I will probably find a good use for the modeling functions down the road but for now the effects are a hand full. (and fun to play with too!) I really like this unit, if i cme up with any cool patches for it I'll be sure to post 'em. Hey is there an editor for this one yet??

The Gt-6b is awsome. I would love to find some patches tho, makes life a little easier for us all. I have had the pedal for a couple of weeks. I dont know anything about the amp modeling. Someone said that we can set the pedal up as if we are playing through other amps. How????? what is the deal about downloading midi files?

I just picked up a used GT6b on eBay and haven't really looked into it's possibilities yet but will keep an eye on this forum (if it seems active enough) to get the latest tricks etc. I agree it would be nice if people could maybe post some of their experiences here and tips for us novices/new owners, especially the stuff not covered well in the manual like the actual player's side of things rather than the cold mechanics of what a particular function does.

I'm a Bass Player! I just got a GT-6B a month ago, and just started using it live. So far, I only used some very tame patches that I've built which mainly have a little tone adjustments, and some compression. I am looking forward to exploring more of its features. It seems to be a very nice unit. I got one because I use a GT-5 and/or a GT-6 when I play guitar, and I figured I better see what they have to offer in the lower octaves. I play 2 Carvin Koa wood basses, one fretted, one fretless.

We need to get some patches up hehe... I leant my 6b to my guitar player... "he's a f'&*%ing tone master". So hopefully I'll have a few good tones to share so you guys can cover up some of the WACK out-of-the-box presets it comes with.

That's cool, maybe the bass players can collaborate with guitar players here, I want to hear the GT-6B direct!!!

IMO that's what this site needs, Online collaborations (music related mostly)!

We need an mp3 posting forum.

hehe finally i found a page for the gt6b!

so anyone some experiences with the distortions?

cause i´m trying to put up a good distorted sound for quite a long time and it won´t work! it allways sounds to "artificial". looking for the warm tubestyle sound of the ´70 without buying an ampeg. any suggestions?
is there a possibility to get this sound with the 6b?

Hey all you b-bottom-end players..
I'm a GT-6 user, and my band's bassist just bought a GT-6B (with a little encouragement from myself). Having been a GT user for over a year now, I'm pretty comfortable with it's features and think it's an AWESOME tool for stage or studio. I hope our bassist will feel the same about his after he learns how to use it... I'm going to work with him on it to get him set up and familiar with using it.

I was really dissappointed to find out that the Partheus GT Manager (which I use religiously with my GT) doesn't accomodate the Bass version. Is there a comparably priced/user-friendly PC application for it, or is he SOL without buying some expensive software?

Hi All,
I've been using the GT-6B for a little over a year now and just found this site. Glad to see other users here. Has anyone found an editor that will work with the GT-6B?

04-06-2005, 05:22 PM
my bassist told me that there is a program called Emagic Sounddiver which has a .syx editor for the GT-6B.

I've been trying to download a "free" copy of it from a P2P site, cus apparently it costs $150 just to be able to use that editor.... f*** that. Until someone will come up with a reasonably priced B editor, it's a cracked copy of Sounddiver for now.

.... unless SOMEONE ELSE can find another program!!

...and here i am, yet another bass man. Howdy !

Had mine about 4 weeks and love a couple of the factory presets. In particular the Bare Bass 360 and the Pitch Double. Theres is another Factory Preset called Funk Wah - and although the filter sound itself is fine, the bottom end seems to disappear when using this patch and i havent yet figured out how to dial it back in and save it

Hey - another bass player here. I'm pretty sure there used to be a lot of patches for the 6B on this board, but they are all gone for some reason. If anyone has uploaded patches before, please write a howto and we can start repopulating it.

Hey..

Am I missing the point here, the GT6b doesn't have download patch capability like the POD XT Live does it?

How does this work?

email: uponall@btinternet.com

as for used patches I am happy to give advise on mine.

Hello, YABP here, in Bristol, UK.
I got my GT-6B yesterday, and stayed up much of the night with it. It's much better and useful than the ME-50B.
The patches (.SYX) files are uploaded throught the MIDI port in bulk mode.
I downloaded the software mentioned in the earlier post - it works fine.
My other kit is:
Fender Jazz; Fender Jazz fretless; Roland Cube 100 (for small gigs, although now I tend to DI through the house PA); Boss Bassman pedal; Boss bass equaliser pedal).
I note that a couple of people have moaned about this forum. I say (in my understated English way): it's what we make it!

I dont have a midi port on my PC - DOH!!

Welcome from Bristol,, i am from Newcastle.

I love the edit capability of the XT live through USB and really though Boss had missed out on that but if midi works then I might see how I can make that work.
