Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable repair service for the Boss GT-6B in the Southern California area. I've been having problems with my unit for some time now. It is virtually unusable as I can no longer swicth patches using the pedals. Also, the LED display flashes information rapidly and never stops, so it is impossible to adjust any of the individual parameters. I took it to the Roland recommended service center about a year and a half ago, the issue appeared to be fixed, but it has now returned. I love this unit, and would like to get it back to its original working condition. Thanks for listening!

well, this sounds like the typical types of programs that the older GT's tend to get. This thread (http://bossgtcentral.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13660&highlight=repair) is from the gt6 forum and talks about cleaning it out (among other things) ... if you feel like attempting it on your own.
If you do a search for 'repair' in the gt6 forum you find a lot of topics covering similar issues to the ones that you are having (display going crazy, etc). Unless you spilt beer or somthing on it, I'm guessing that it's probably just dust and that you could probably just oben up the back and spray some compressed air in there and clean it out that way.
Since I already did the search I mentioned above I'll save you the trouble and post the link .... http://bossgtcentral.com/forum/search.php?searchid=71490 .... I don't know how many responses your bound to get as the gt6B forum is fairly slow.
