Does anyone know how I could have a waist-level controller for the GT-8? The bending over for tone control gets old after a while, at least while I'm experimenting. I've tried geeboss but no workee. I've got Mac OSX. I'm basically just looking for a duplicate (or close) rendition of the footpedal but removing the need to bend down and turn knobs. Patch importing is not important at all for me.

Huh ?! When I'm tweaking I just put my GT8 on my bed and I sit in front of it. It's easy to tweak and you don't need so many gadgets.

Look for a deal on a midi knob box like the Behringer BCR2000. It would take some initial setup, but you could program midi cc controller #'s to the parameters you want to control. I've done this and it sure saves the back!
Alternatively, I've seen people place them on stands (like a heavy duty music stand). Works well if you don't need the foot pedals.

Yes, exactly: we must save the back! My rig (amp, gt-8, and guitar/stand) is between my chair and reading table, protected from the ankle biter (toddler). I want the footswitch for rehearsal with mp-3. Too much trouble moving everything for the precious 7-20 minutes I can steal for practice. I will check out the Behringer: thanks!

Little Guitar,
How do you hook up the controller? Does it have to go through a computer, or directly to GT-8 (preferable, since I have a Macintosh and don't want to fork out $500+ for a PC laptop.
