I have a Tech 21 Trademark 300 head and I have tried to get the amp control function to work with my GT Pro. I thought that the only thing I needed to do was to select the channel I wanted to use, active the amp ctl and store it at the desired patch. What happens is that when I change patch is that the GT Pros changes the channel but not to the desired but to the next in line, that is: From Clean to Rythm, Rythm to Solo and Solo to Clean. I would like to assign a patch with the clean channel, another with the rythm channel and so on. Is there a problem when I use a three channel amp or am I doing anything wrong?
Kind regards
Markus

I'm fairly sure that the pro's amp control function is the same as that on the GT8, and as such it is intended to switch a 2 channel amp... clean to lead and back again.
there is (as far as I am aware) no way of discerning which amp channel you use for each patch with the amp control function.
sorry

Ok, then I have to buy a separate midiconverter. Do I have to buy one that is made for my amp, like the ARMD MIDI Converter, or doesn´t it matter?
Kind regards

It seems that the tech21 channelswitching does not use a standard method (because it loops through the channels...). This can couse problems if you don't have a tech21 deddicated switcher. Do you have any info (manual?) how the channels are switched (connections)?
