This gets plugged into a Mackie mixer, (the aux send goes to the Echoplex), and then to powered JBL Eons. The power at the top was changed to a beefier Furman unit.

Nice !

I see you got the Boss VF-1 as well,i just got another one of those very cheap and i now have two, one for homerecordning and one for the rack,i also got the original boss rackmount adapter.

VF-1 is really a kind of GT-pro mini with about 90% or more of the effects of the pro and also with dedicated bass, vocal and keyboard sims and effects that the pro doesnt have, the biggest difference is the user interface and connections, the VF-1 is a very powerful little unit.

Im going to use the VF-1 both as a external effect if i should need some extra power and as a backup for the GT-pro,since the VF-1 has preamps about as good as the pro,not dual though.

Nice! And your gear page has a lot of interesting information.

I also used EON-15 in the past. Now I've moved to the more portable Roland KC-350

Manuel

thanks for the kind words!

you know, i havent really used the vf-1 as an electric preamp- just for acoustic and for the piezo signal from my electric, where it rocks. i hadn't been impressed with the VF-1s preamp sounds, but maybe I havent spent as much time with them...id be curious to hear or download some of the patches you made for it.

Hi

I hope I won't disturb your topic.

I have a GT-6 and just bought a VF-1 : do you think it's possible to transfer (dump) my patches from the GT-6 to the VF-1?

Thanx for answering.

Ciao

My guess is no way. Certainly different operating systems. It would be faster to try to recreate the same patches using the same effects and tweak from there.
