Does it have different USB connectors on each end (USB 1.0 and 2.0) or are they both USB 2.0 connectors?

TIA

It doesn't mention at the manual. Is there a way that I can check it?

Ok, I guess I have 2 questions then please.

First, are both ends the same?

Second, if both ends are the same, are the more squarish in shape or relatively flat and rectangular?

The end at the GT-Pro is B-Type:

The end at the PC is the A type:

Excellent. Thank you ping. I think I'm going to get a Pro (in addition to my GT8) so I was just figuring out all the doodads I needed, including a USB cable. I just wanted to make sure the one that came with it would work on my PC's USB jacks.

Welcome to the world of Pros!

Are you already using other rack gear?

Thanks for the welcome but I'm not there yet. I'm pretty close to ordering it but I haven't pulled the trigger.

The only other rack gear I have right now is an ADA MicroCab. I want the Pro primarily for the dual mono/stereo FX loop. I plan on putting the MicroCab in one loop and my Harmonic Converger in the other. Eventually, I might get another Harmonic Converger (for running Dual L/R preamps) so then I would have stereo HCs and the MicroCab would be hooked up in stereo. I would just bypass it when I didn't want to use.

I love the speaker sims in the GT8/Pro but the MicroCab just has different flavors.

With the Pro, I can connect up both the MicroCab and HC in stereo and still keep a digital output to my PC. I'm starting to really want to use Dual L/R preamps for certain tones but with the GT8 I cannot do this AND still use my digital out. I'm stuck on using the Harmonic Converger for all tones except your basic DI sterile Strat type tones.

I might succumb in the future and purchase a TC Electronic G Force too. That being said, I'm only doing home recording so I need to look into plug-ins as well.

.... and remember kids, that silly hat means he's a moderator. Do you know what a moderator is? Say it with me: Mo, de, ra, tor. Gooooood!

btw that avatar of a soldier (who is not wearing a hat!!) looks like a screen shot from quake4 or something =)

Bah, I'm not a moderator in the GT Pro forums, only certain GT8 forums and the Coffee House.

BTW, my avatar is actually a digital model of me. It's from a game called "Red Faction" that I worked on about 5 yrs ago.
