I don't even have a GT-10 and I'm sick of seeing it, and a couple of these people are getting on my bad (not humorous) side, one I haven't been on in months, but I'm about to let the gate open.

Sorry for being rude Tempul, but as you said, it's everywhere. Cocked-Wah is where you have a wah-wah pedal on and leave it in one position instead of moving it up or down, basically using it as a tone control when using heavy distortion or overdrive. It seems that many of the preamps in the GT-10 have this sound. It's very easy to read up on with plenty of links to hear the patches where it exists. Dire Straight's "Money for nothing" is a good example of the sound, although I think it's a bit extreme from what I've heard.

I explained it the best I know how in my previous post up there, but quite frankly, it's crawling out of the sub forum where it was supposed to be contained. If a *sticky isn't made pretty soon it'll start all over again.

Sounds like the WAH is stuck ON. Read the CW sub-forum there are numerous clips and youtube to get the idea.

there are so many threads about it because it's a real problem. On the bright side, at least we are making some progress with everyone posting their own tips on how to tweak the CW away. Tempul, go to patch 14-2 for an extreme sample of CW, and if you can't hear it, good for you... but the rest of us are stuck with this misery...

It isn't the only one that's been created outside the forum since it was introduced either and merely answering one when it is only fuels the fire. What's so damned hipocrytical here is that some of these are the same ones that begged for a sub forum for it to begin with and they're still posting outside of it.
