Yeah, I'm pretty excited to hear the 8, and in all likelihood will buy one soon after. A friend I jam with a lot is already planning on buying my 6 from me, too. 8)

Im freekin' confused.... i got my 6 like a year ago, and at first I was a sucker, and was just tweeking around, but now that i've found this awesome site, i have learned so much. And now.... there's an 8!!!! 8O
dammit, I think I got in love with my 6!!!
should I buy the 8? is it good enough, should I wait?... I mean, does it really kick my 6's ass? :(
I'd aprecciate ANY kind of advice... thanx!

If you lack the distortion qaulity/versitility/quantity or you think the preamp models are poor definately get the 8 never compromise on technology I say..
If you like the 6 as is "no external pedals attached" keep it.
That was my dime and a 12.

no compromise with tec, hmm good one.
thanx a lot. I do use external pedals, always trying to keep it as simple as posible for live presentations, and it works. The manual mode is very helpfull for this. what im trying to say is that as a machine, the 6 makes everything very easy for me.
But, what im thinking is that maybe the 8 doesn't really kick's my 6, I should wait for one that really does it, (wich im sure will be on the market soon, and I know it will be obsolete in as soon as it came out)That's why I think its better to take big steps between technologies, you have to purchase only those things that really better than yours, (money may come easily, but you don't know when its coming again) :?
so... my question is: is the 8 a kick ass machine, or not. if its not I could keep my 6 some time till something like the 8 (but with usb, two exp pedals, plus the dists I can't get with my 6) comes out. In few words, if I can't get with the 8 what I can't get with my 6, then it is unnecesary for me.
thanx for ur time man! :)
ps can u tell me, have u tried the 8, what do u think bout it?

That's my question too (and I have a 5 8O ). Are the effects that much better? I don't use the preamp and distortion too much (taking advantage of my amp for that), but I layer a LOT of effects together and toggle between patches during songs. If the 8 has improved the pitch shifting or made some other effect improvements (more analog sounding chorus, better delay sounds, etc.) I'd think about it.
